Harkat Company was established in 1986 in Erbil, Iraq, and has grown into one of the most trusted names in automotive parts distribution. With over 38 years of experience, we specialize in importing and delivering an extensive selection—over 36,000 parts—encompassing a wide range of vehicles, from trucks and generators to passenger cars and agricultural machinery.
We source high-quality components, including oils and batteries, from eight countries across four continents, streamlined through our logistics hub in Mersin, Turkey.

Founded on June 28, 1986 by Mr. Wasman Salih. The business started as a small spare parts store in the Northern Industrial Area in Erbil.

Very limited product range, likely basic spare parts for local demand (trucks/generators/cars), mostly sourced from neighboring regions or via intermediaries. (In early days the founder had to travel to Turkey to import aftermarket spare parts for global brands as beginning of sourcing expansion).

Store area was small. The operations were localized: Erbil or nearby, little reach outside. The logistics, warehousing, international linkages were minimal or informal.

No established branches in Baghdad or in other provinces initially. Distribution mostly via direct store sales, limited to local/regional customers.

Harkat has grown into a major distributor of spare parts in Iraq; claimed over 36,000 different spare parts / items in its catalogue.

Works with 70-plus international brands across several continents. Multiple suppliers in 8 countries, imports from four continents, uses Mersin (Turkey) as a logistics hub.

Multiple large warehouses, multiple branches: HQ in English Village in Erbil, sales stores and warehouses in industrial areas in Erbil, branches in Baghdad, Turkey (Mersin) etc.

Larger scale operations: 28,000 m² of closed space (warehouses etc.), more employees, more structured divisions (importing, quality assurance, marketing etc.)

Product range is broader: from heavy duty trucks to generators, agricultural machinery, oils, batteries; more comprehensive catalog; more brands.
